Blackpool Shock

Friday, September 12th, 2008

The T BIRDS gang all headed off to Blackpool tonight. As you can imagine it was wet, cold and tacky, but what more would you expect?

It is always lovely to come to the home of the famous tower and settle into a nutritionally balanced meal…

Done… It’s almost like a map of enjoyment.

One of the finer things (from an ironic standpoint) about Blackpool is just the use of branding and terrible typography. If you like your writing sensible and easy to read you may want to avert your gaze.

Something else that seems to go hand in hand with going to Blackpool is the consuming of rubbish both edible and non.

Some members of the T BIRDS family left genuinely quite happy with their Blackpool gifts… If you don’t know about Joel you soon will.

Someone left the T BIRDS mark on Blackpool.

And Blackpool certainly left its mark on T BIRDS.

Summer Snapping

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

As we all know here in the lovely UK it has been somewhat of a let down as regards the summer temperatures. However around this time a lucky few manage to flee from these shores seeking somewhere considerably hotter and generally more exciting. (If by exciting you mean British pubs in the sun). When drawing things for the next time we release some new shirts, (which I might add is very soon) I discovered the power of photography.

A few lovers and friends have turned me onto photography in my lifetime, but it’s only recently that I have really started to take it seriously. I am not interested in the type of photography that requires you to obtain lots of lenses and lighting equipment. I like photographs as seen above, which for all intents and purposes are not artistic and have no meaning on their own, but have a story. Which in my opinion is what is more important. Rant Over.

GQueuing

Monday, September 8th, 2008

When I am bored I often buy GQ, not just to look at the pretty brogues and yearn for them, butalso to read some interviews with people I have a relative interest in. This months is interviews with ‘Men of the year.’ Some are somewhat debatable such as Boris Johnson and Led Zepplin, but hey there were a couple I liked.

One interview that I really enjoyed was Gavin and Stacey creator James Corden. He just strikes me as a really nice bloke. I think I am biased because he has a nice pair of shoes on.

Anyways if you are looking for something to read to make you smile and read big words you can’t understand like me then whip out your £3.80 and go buy it. You also get supplements about clothes that you can’t afford too. I wonder if GQ will ever get back to me about that interview…

Pie?

Monday, September 8th, 2008

On a rainy day when bored, a very entertaining thing to do is a ‘turkey-face’ (make of this what you will) and say ‘pie?’ in a high-pitched, inquisitive voice. This works best when either making or serving pies. You will see for yourself.

The Great British Summer

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

Some say it has been a wash out. Some say it has been terrible. I just think it’s nice that Sheffield hasn’t flooded again. Although our thoughts are with the many lives that been destroyed by the flooding throughout the country.

In happier news I have just had a lovely chat with the Hendo’s relished whizz-kid that is Phlegm who insists that he will be drawing something nice for T BIRDS soon so be sure to check back soon so I can maybe give you a cheeky preview. If you get bored make sure to go and visit his blog as he uses words I don’t understand and shows pictures of his artwork. I can ensure that it is a concoction worth sipping.

It Feels So Good to be Baaaack

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Sorry about the lack of posts, but sometimes these things happen. It has been an interesting week which, has mostly been spent on the train, travelling up and down the country. I haven’t had the internet which made me somewhat upset as I couldn’t check the TV listings, then later I was mortified to discover that Kevin Keegan has left football once again. Sorry to our non-footballing fans, but its just a shame.

So anyways back to things blogging I apologize for the obvious lack of photographs in this post. This is merely due to the fact that I am an imbecile and forgot to take my camera with me on my travels to document my journey. Therefore resigning myself to my camera on my portable telephone, however this delivered the results as seen below. Thus I decided not to use it further. It has just been one of those weeks. Sorry chums. I will have something for you tomorrow… hopefully.

Life’s misfortunes

Monday, September 1st, 2008

One of life’s current misfortunes is that for the time being I do not have access to the Internet. Thus, our riveting blog must be suspended for the next few days whilst I sort it out.

Apologies to all you avid fans, it should be sorted by Thursday.
